Why carbon still matters
Carbon remains essential to heavy industry. It is still required in ironmaking, ferroalloy production and other metallurgical processes where it cannot simply be replaced.
Today, most of that carbon comes from coal and coke.
Carbon does not have to be fossil.
By replacing fossil carbon with biocarbon, industry can significantly reduce CO₂ emissions while continuing to use existing equipment and production processes.
